Carving Pumpkins

This is what we did tonight:

Happy Halloween!

Corn-fused

Corn-fused?
I sure was!
The question is....which one is more corn-fusing?
They both are!
LANE FARMS: small, tight quarters, lots of dead ends & back aching (corn was so tall it towered over the path - which resulted in me feeling like a Rumpelstiltskin).  Overall, felt a little panicked when my back was hurting so bad and we couldn't find the exit.
CORN-FUSING!
UNDERWOOD FAMILY FARMS: huge, spacious, open, map in the middle for the lost & huge hay pyramid to could climb & overlook the maze and farm.  Overall, very enjoyable - especially with our shaved Ice (free refills) to enjoy along the way.
Still CORN-FUSING though!

 The consensus.......
Lane Farms was far more frustrating
and
Underwood Family Farms was far more enjoyable!
Thanks to this person, we had a fun time at the Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark
and I choose the more enjoyable one!

Bathroom Mishap: Take 2

About this same time last year I made a post about Justin locking himself in the bathroom.
Yes, this is a "Take 2" except it was Brandon this time!
Matt REALLY didn't want me to post it again, SORRY! I won't post a picture of his eye peeping out the doorknob hole, instead I'll post one of Justin trying to help.....
This is a picture of Justin trying to get Brandon to hold on to his snake, Taipan, so he could pull him out. He tried and then said, "darn, it didn't work!"
Notice my electric screwdriver......needless to say it REALLY DID break this time. I was able to piece it together last time (you had to turn the doorknob a certain way to open/close it).
I am proud to say that I have replaced the doorknob, as well as our bedroom doorknob that needed a key to unlock it - and we have never had a key for it!
Hopefully there won't be a "Take 3!"

Beach House

Again, better late than never, eh? The Beach House was fun with Matt's family the week following Lake Powell. I could post a million pictures, but I'll spare you and just post 4. It was a little cold, but we still managed to have fun. It only helped that our Bathroom was nicer - and possibly bigger - than our house! The boys sure did enjoy
Bubble Baths in the Jet Tub!

The beach is always a great place to take pictures too!

I love my boys, all three of them!
Thanks, Stock family, for the fun time! It was relaxing and fun and the kids really LOVED hanging out with their cousins. Matt and I enjoyed realxing with the family!

Lake Powell

Better late than never, right? Here are a FEW pictures from Lake Powell this summer. The boys and I went with my family and we had a lot of fun!
Here's Brandon driving the Houseboat with Grandpa

This is how Justin rolled all week long!

And this is how Brandon rolled all week long!

Justin enjoyed fishing off the back of the houseboat. He caught and
reeled in his own foot-long catfish (we put it back).
Brandon enjoyed being thrown in the air by Grandpa & Uncle Matt!

Justin also loved being towed on the Inner tube. Here he is with Cassi catching some air!

Thanks , Mom & Dad, for the fun trip!

Justin turned 5!

Last Sunday Justin turned 5!!!
We headed over to Mom and Dad's house for the usual
Sunday dinner, presents, and cake.
Justin's dinner request was:
-Burritos filled with Refried Beans, Spanish Rice, Juicy Meat, lettuce, and Ketchup
-Pickles
-Watermelon
-Salad with Ranch Dressing
Below are the decorations Cassi made

Here is the present Brandon bought for Justin......

Brandon's not happy because he wants the candy!

Then we surprised Justin with an attack outside:

Operation Silly String

Then he blew out his trick candles on his Sonic cake.

Yes I made it....let's just say it's harder than it looks,

especially when your're not an artist!

Sonic was Justin's request, yet again.
Let's cross our fingers for something different next time!

Brandon's War

Brandon had a war.........
A war with his hair
and
.............
???????????

I'll keep you guessing. You see we had a long sleepless night so I was tired.

Brandon was crying as I was getting ready for Church.

I heard the cry get closer and closer so I thought he was just over exaggerating

a minor bump into the wall or something.

So when he came in and said "Ouch! Uh hair"" as he pointed to his head

I told him to show me where he got his owie.

This is where he took me.....

tears still streaming down his face and

looking at THIS with confusion.....

Yes, that is his hair you see stuck in THIS toy.

When he picked THIS up it was still spinning so fast in a circle that I

didn't realize what was stuck in it until I

turned it off!

And just in case you needed a closer look at what I could

pull out of it, here you go ;-)

THIS toy is in the trash and I am SO SAD
that my baby lost so much hair and has a bald spot on his
already thin and sparse set of hair!
It was not funny, however, it is now!

Justin's Testimony

This is a couple of "Family Home Evenings" that are on Justin's door. The hearts are all things that he knows...the beginning of his testimony. I LOVE THIS so much that I had to share. The best part is Matt and I said "let's write your testimony on these hearts, these all say I know ______ and you fill in the blank" he never once paused & we actually ran out of hearts☺
