Labor Day Fireworks

We didn't have fireworks in Goleta at Girsh Park on July 4th because of the Gap Fire so they did them on Labor Day. We went with Cassi and Dad. Here is Justin with his glow stick necklace plugging his ears because the fireworks were too loud for him.....he still enjoyed them.
Matt and Justin (notice Matt being a good Dad by plugging Justin's ears for him) =)

One of the many pictures I have of the fireworks......most of them didn't show up and then I realized afterwards that I had a fireworks setting on my camera.....I think I need to read the manual.

Justin rode on Matt's shoulders back to the car. He had a blast!

I know it's blurry but if you know Justin you know what to expect when he get's excited. We are singing Happy Birthday to him as I took this picture. We had a Family Birthday Dinner and he opened presents from family. I am lucky he is a boy so he hasn't asked for a Birthday Party yet! So his dinner consisted of Chicken Dinosaurs, Hot Dogs, BBQ Chips, Watermelon, and Veggies (he thinks carrots are the only veggies so I added my own). Then he opened presents from Great Grandma & Grandpa , Grandma & Grandpa & Cassi, Dani, Deena & Austen & Jesse, and Ben & Ashley. He had a blast, in case you can't tell.
Justin blowing out the candles on his cupcakes (Cassi wrote "Justin rools & is the best")

Justin holding up the picture that Cassi drew for him on the wrapping paper of one of his presents.

Happy Birthday Justin!

This is Justin in the morning after waking up and telling us he is 3 years old!
This is what Justin woke up to in his room, his new race car bed from Matt and me. It took us a couple of hours to put it together and then realized they forgot put the hub cap stickers in the box so they are being shipped to us, they should be here in a couple of weeks, we were bummed because we wanted the bed to look super cool but instead it just looked cool.

Justin pretending he has a telescope

Justin sleeping in the finished product. We had to go to Home Depot and get a piece of Plywood cut to go under his mattress. Then we went to the store and Justin pucked out his bedding...."Cars" of course!

Here is Dad with his cheering squad after finishing the
Windmill Century Bike Race in Solvang.
This was our last picture taken on our old camera. You know the saying
"when it rains it pours"....let's just say we had our fair share of things breaking on our trip to St. George.....expensive things too.
It started with our Air Conditioner in the car going out and being pregnant I refused to drive to a HOT place and not have air conditioner. Then when we got to St. George our humidifier broke because it fell out of the car, and our camera was completely shot.....something shattered inside the camera so all you could see was a white screen and spider web-like cracks all over. We couldn't even view old pictures, so we had to go buy a new one. Matt jumped in the pool with his new Blackberry Cell Phone (not even a month old yet) and 30 minutes later went to take it out of his pocket to take a picture of Justin and then it hit him......oh it's not water proof! Then Matt broke a Jelly Jar and it shattered all over the kitchen floor in Daniel & Lauren's house. Oh, and he lost one of Justin's sandals in a Parking Lot and we didn't realize it until it was too late. Then we took our new camera to Daniel & Lauren's Wedding Reception and I forgot the new memory card so we only have 4 pictures and it's sad to say they are all of Justin. Then we got home and our Plasma TV was broken...well we couldn't get a picture and after hours of trying to solve the problem I finally called LG and lucky for us the warranty was almost up (I am talking days)...so they came today and took it to their shop and we will have it back sometime next week. Matt is not liking watching a normal size tv, boo hoo, I don't mind.
This is Justin and his good friend Warren having a whale of a time at Kid's World.
