Fooled you, huh?
I made a regular French Bread and one I made up. You see, a long time ago I worked at Great Harvest Bread Co. here in Santa Barbara and I had a favorite .......

The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry and The Big Hungry Bear

If you have not read "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry And The Big Hungry Bear" then you are missing out. It is MY favorite children's book and yes, I can recite the whole story by memory!
Meet the little mouse....

*note the half eaten strawberry*

The red ripe strawberry, from our little garden...

And the big hungry bear....

*note the mouse ate his half while still attached to the plant and the
bear ate his half after he picked and washed it*
".....share half with me, and we'll both eat it all up. Yum!"

Happy Birthday Kelli!

Kelli entered the MTC yesterday (the day before her Birthday). I know she won't be able to read this post, but I'm doing it anyway. This is after Kelli got set apart to be a Missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!

Here are the kids singing Happy Birthday after dinner...........

........and this is the yummy dessert we ate.......

.......and here she is getting her last laughs with Kobe before he went to bed!

For the next 18 months, the Marshall Islands
won't know what hit them. I'm not talking about a tsunami, I'm talking about Sister Kelli Ann Hansen! Love you Kell Swell and Happy Birthday!

Let my neck breathe!

Brandon has a double ear infection (Justin just finished his meds for the same thing). I miss this smiling face. I miss trying to pull his hat up so he can see....which is followed by him pulling it back down and looking up so he can see. Perhaps he does this so his neck can get some air & sun that's been hiding under his chinS for 16 months!! He wins....I'll let his neck breath
(Click on the picture above to see it bigger)

No picture

There is no picture for this post because I finally found a basketball background for my blog and then realized it was a template after I had saved everything....resulting in NO LINKS!!!!! I'm too upset to think about it because of all the work it will take to start over from scratch again! Sorry for the lame blog post, hopefully I will have all of my links again sometime later this week after I find and add each one....one-by-one. In the meantime, this post was supposed to be to wish Matt and the UCSB Gauchos Good Luck in their game against Ohio St. this Friday in the NCAA Tournament!
Fill out those brackets!
Good Luck!!

Random Explainings

This picture is posted because today is St. Patrick's Day and I thought it was funny that Justin was 'messin around in the field during his game last week....the grass is GREEN!

This is the change I got at the Car Wash yesterday.....GOLD COINS!

This is a random picture I took this morning in the backyard......it's GREEN!!!

.....and this is what I would've made had I remembered today was St. Patrick's Day. I can dream GREEN today=)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Championship Game!

Again, I wish I had the good camera....here's the final score for the Championship Game......yes, the UCSB Gauchos won the Big West Tournament!!!!

I know it's a bad picture but you can see the excitement in Justin's face (Matt's holding him in the bottom right).....he was soooooo excited!!!

Justin giving Ole a high five!

Matt cutting part of the net down from the game! I have a ton more pictures but they're even more blurry add grainy, believe it or not.

Great games Gauchos! They're now off to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to play in the NCAA Tournament against Ohio St. (ranked #2 in the Midwest). They leave Wednesday and play Friday....I could go but the list of "cons" outweighed the "pros" by A LOT!!! Good luck Gauchos!!

Semifinal Game!

We went down to Anaheim for the Big West Tournament and had a lot of fun! I'll skip over a lot of fun details, but the one thing I WISH I had remembered was my BIG/GOOD camera. So, here are some grainy and blurry pictures with my little/bad camera.

I can never get a good picture of Matt on the bench because he likes to be on the outskirts of the huddle. Matt's location + Matt's height = Where's Waldo!

Here's a picture of the final score.

And please don't remind me how dirty Hotel floors are, we were hungry and the only place open/fast was Carl's Jr. so we hit the drive-thru. Here's Justin, Brandon, and Me fighting over the BBQ Sauce for our chicken. If I see another french fry I think I might vomit!

Justin lying in his couch bed, SOOOO EXCITED!! Brandon wanted in too.

Justin's 1st T-ball Game

Justin had his first ever T-ball game on Saturday! His team's name is the 'Lil Dodgers. He LOVES it! His game was at 8am and had to be there at 7:30am. Matt was out of town and we all went to bed late. So I got up at 6:30ish (TOOO early) and got ready. 7:00 rolls around and both boys are still sleeping, so I went to wake up Justin and he wouldn't wake up. I told him I was going to go make his breakfast and as I got to the counter to get his breakfast ready I heard him running down the hall in his sandals. He ran into the kitchen (half asleep mind you), with his sandals, pajamas, hat, and glove on saying "let's go Mom, I'm ready!" Boy does he have a zest for life. He was so excited for his game. We ended up leaving the house at 7:30 due to Brandon deciding he needed a diaper change=) Luckily he plays his games just down the street at Girsh park so we were about 3 minutes late and he was still the 3rd kid there out of 10.
Luckily I had my trusty little camera in the diaper bag, better than nothing, right? I promise to get better pics next time with the better camera!
This is Justin's first "at bat"

He hit a line drive between 1st and 2nd.

Here he is on 1st base listening to the 1st base Coach.

Here he is tip toeing on 2nd base =)
(...tip toe, to the window...thanks American Idol for
ruining the word tip toe for me)

Here he is on 3rd base waiting to run home, not sure why he's grabbing his pants, maybe he's seen too much baseball on TV=)

And here he is running home!!!!!

This is his team meting after his game.

He's the one sitting next to the kid in the brown shirt

And here he is, happy as can be with a donut, juice, and a baseball card from his Coach! There couldn't be a happier kid!

Did I mention it was supposed to rain all day but it never did until about 3:00pm? This is a crazy funnel cloud/water spout (sorry I don't know the lingo because I've never experienced one before) right after his game

2010 Winter Olympic Games

Justin and Cassi made their own 2010 Winter Olympic Games a couple of weeks ago. After I had been watching a few sports they put together, I realized I needed to take pitures of the last 2 events..........
Here they are playing "Ice Hockey" with a stick, bat, and tennis ball............

Here they are "Curling." Cassi rolled the tennis balls as Justin would "brush" the ice. They would repeat until all the tennis balls were gone to see who won.

This is where the tennis balls would hopefully stop.

This is their drawing of the target:

You may think this is silly, crazy, weird, lame, etc.

Me, I think it's ingenious. It brought me back to the good old days when my sisters and I made a Wheel of Fortune game out of the bottom of the Fisher Price Merry-Go-Round in the very same backyard=)
