NCAA in Tampa

~ROUND 1~

Justin in Tampa, Florida:
Getting there was a breeze, a 4.5 hr. non-stop chartered flight.  Leaving Brandon with my Mom was the hardest thing I've EVER had to do.  After day two I was able to mention Brandon's name without shedding a tear!  Every time I talked to him on the phone he was happy....THANK YOU MOM!!!!!!
Justin enjoyed EVERY minute of the trip, including:

-telling Knock Knock jokes to EVERYONE!
-eating gator
-eating calamari
-playing Cassi's Nintendo DSI
-Flying and flashing his Passport with his 2 year old picture AND drinking soda
-Every single bus ride - no seat belts!
-The Hotel, which had M&M and Peanut M&M dispensers at the front desk
-Racing Mom & Dad to the room then slipping the key under the door for us
-Being the life of the party - telling jokes, knock knock jokes, and just being himself - he never stopped smiling or laughing the whole trip!
and much, much more.....

~ROUND 2~

Flying over Tampa Bay

Not only was this particular bridge jaw-dropping, but it reminded me of my sister, Kelli, in the Marshall Islands.  This is basically what the landing strip there looks like, except it's not connected to a large piece of land.....it's LITERALLY in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with nothing but water around it.  This bridge is 4 lanes and SUPER long.  Apparently there are a couple of these across Tampa Bay!

~ROUND 3~

Well really, it's Round 1 of the NCAA 2011 Basketball Championship!

This was fun to experience, despite the really bad loss.  The UCSB Gauchos played the Florida Gators in Round 1.  This was definitely a trip that will go into our memory banks - both good and bad :-)
The flight home was a nightmare, but Justin enjoyed it because he was able to play the DSI, eat pizza courtesy of his Lactaid, and sit on the hot plane in Houston in his underwear :-)

Beach Bum

We went to the BEACH a couple weeks ago in January.......

....and I found these in Brandon's diaper, right next to his BUM at home after I chased him down for a saggy diaper (thinking I was going to find a much dreaded poopy diaper).....
...those are ALL of the GAME PIECES to PARCHEESI in Brandon's wet diaper!
Yes, I threw those pieces into some bleach water, then dried them in the sun!
By the way, Justin plays with 3 dice at a time and can add faster than anyone I know
-he's a Math Whiz!

UCSB goes to Vegas!

The boys and I tagged along with Matt recruiting to West Covina and St. George this week.  We were able to see Dan, Lauren, and Sadie then travel with them to see UCSB play (or should I say beat the pants off) UNLV......here's the outcome:
We met up there with Ben, Ashley, and Wesley
and then we did a little sight seeing the next day along the strip.........

Here's Brandon and Sadie playing together...

And here's Justin and Brandon going to sleep with Wesley
We had a really fun time and thank you to Dan and Lauren for letting us stay with them and Ben and Ashley for letting us stay with them at The Palms Place - where we shared an elevator with and talked to Jonathan Duhamel (he won the World Series Poker Tournament and he was there because he just got married) on his way up to the Penthouse to celebrate.

Here are 2 videos of Justin scoring in Soccer.  He had a blast this season and misses it already!

Enjoy!

Guess Who's 2?

Brandon turned 2!!

Here are the little cupcakes I made for Brandon's Birthday.  Take note that mini cupcakes are NOT worth frosting....they may look cute, but definitely not worth it....stick to the good 'ol fashioned regular-sized cupcakes!

Here he is...King of the Room.....being sung to (and yes that's Justin's infamous, "oh yeah" at the end of the Happy Birthday Song).
Justin picked this Car Rug with Cars out for Brandon
And this is from Grandma, Grandpa & Cassi....
thank goodness for good sales around his Birthday!
This is his favorite!  It hasn't gone outside yet because it's so cold....so I figure it's fine.....Brandon loves it.....and so does Justin.  Justin sets the timer in the kitchen to take turns....do you sense a little jealousy??

We love our boys!!!

Carving Pumpkins

This is what we did tonight:

Happy Halloween!

Corn-fused

Corn-fused?
I sure was!
The question is....which one is more corn-fusing?
They both are!
LANE FARMS: small, tight quarters, lots of dead ends & back aching (corn was so tall it towered over the path - which resulted in me feeling like a Rumpelstiltskin).  Overall, felt a little panicked when my back was hurting so bad and we couldn't find the exit.
CORN-FUSING!
UNDERWOOD FAMILY FARMS: huge, spacious, open, map in the middle for the lost & huge hay pyramid to could climb & overlook the maze and farm.  Overall, very enjoyable - especially with our shaved Ice (free refills) to enjoy along the way.
Still CORN-FUSING though!

 The consensus.......
Lane Farms was far more frustrating
and
Underwood Family Farms was far more enjoyable!
Thanks to this person, we had a fun time at the Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark
and I choose the more enjoyable one!
